Minutes of Special Meeting
Sunday, May 31, 2009
The
Board of Governors met following services on Sunday, May 31, 2009.
Present were Chair Joyce Ramay, Vice Chair Evelyn Evans, Treasurer
Robert Nuding, and Governors Doug Cartwright, and Frankie Jennings.
The
purpose of the meeting was to consider the need for summer childcare
during services. The original plan had been to have Diana provide
volunteer childcare as her community service requirement for college,
but Diana took a job and notified us that she would be unable to do
this.
RE
Coordinator Pat Nuding made multiple attempts to locate other
volunteers, but was not able to do so. (She has a couple volunteers who
would be willing to assist a primary care giver on one or two Sundays,
and will try to find others.)
Andrea
Windsor, daughter of Dr. Jeanne Windsor, worked for us in the summer of
2008, providing childcare. She notified our office that she would be
available this summer if we needed anyone.
The
Board unanimously agreed that we should hire Andrea Windsor for
childcare during June, July and August, but preferably at a rate less
than the $50 she was paid last year. She will have to be available from
10 a.m. until around noon when parents pick up their children following
services. The earlier start time is necessitated because Elizabeth
Cramer will be our services coordinator in June and July, and she has a
small child requiring care.
No
further business was conducted.
